When some of us were kids, we wanted to be pirates, Roman soldiers, vikings, knights, and revolutionary war heroes — right? And despite the fact that we couldn’t be those things in real life, we cherish our playtime as in roles. But for us that play on the field of play, on the gridiron, channeling some of the energy of yore wouldn’t be such a bad thing to get us amped up, no? Behold, the 2016 adidas adizero 5-Star 5.o Uncaged Collection.

adidas unveiled the 2016 Uncaged Collection of the adizero 5-Star 5.0 football cleats. Featuring ‘Uncaged’ versions of the most iconic mascots in the game, the new collection features a Pirate, Spartan, Viking, Knight and Patriot, along with the return of the wildly popular Cheetah, Tiger and Lion designs that were introduced with the original Uncaged Collection in 2015.

Designed to showcase style and engineered for playmakers, this new collection of Uncaged cleats brings these characters to life like never before. With inspirations from all of the various iconic figures, adidas designers took the adizero 5-Star 5.0, the lightest cleat in the game, and developed photo-realistic, high-definition 3-D Uncaged depictions of each mascot for players to represent their on-field mindset.

Lighter than any competitor cleat at 7.9 ounces, the lightweight adizero 5-Star 5.0 features a durable, flexible SPRINTSKIN upper with SHOCKWEB reinforcement. The Uncaged upper sits atop the 5-STAR FRAME that provides the optimum blend of comfort, strength and traction.

The 2016 Uncaged Collection will be available February 1st for $120 at adidas.com
