Hot Pursuit is a comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. In this unlikely partnership, Witherspoon plays a strict cop unwilling to bend the rules. She’s forced to protect Vergara’s character, a widow of a drug boss. Let the collective eye roll of seasoned film critics commence.
The formula of Hot Pursuit has been covered in painful detail. There’s no new ground here. However, Witherspoon’s comedic turn could interest prospective movie-goers. There always seems to be an audience for Vergara because of her looks and personality.
Hot Pursuit is scheduled to release May 8, 2015. If the trailer below doesn’t make you laugh, there might be a good chance this comedic flick will flop.
